A Christmas Hug Baby Loss Support Course
£125.00
For so many, the run up to Christmas can be incredibly painful, often children and families are at the forefront of every advertising campaign and for lots, the festive period means spending time with people we wouldn't choose to see otherwise.
So many of us used to enjoy the festivities and now dread them. Baby loss has robbed us of the ability to look forward to and get involved in Christmas as we used to.
That's why last year we came up with our Christmas Hug support course!
What is it?
It's an opportunity to get to know a small group of women who are struggling just as you are. An opportunity to share your concerns, worries and all those ugly feelings in a safe place.
There will be a private whats app group to rant, let off steam and connect with the other women on the course who really 'get it'
What's involved?
We (Bex & Laura) will be running a weekly zoom drop in session to chat with you directly about where you're at right now as well as offering you real personal actionable advice on what you're going through and what your concerns
Why do it?
Because you deserve to go into Christmas feeling better than you do right now. This course will be incredibly intimate, you will get to know us and each other and form friendships to carry you through the new year and beyond. We all know how isolating baby loss is and it's completely exacerbated by this time of year.
We will have a weekly live drop in support session on zoom, where you can come and chat safely in the knowledge that you are surrounded by others who understand you. Perhaps the most useful of all tools, there will be a private whats app group for you to connect with others on the course who are navigating a similar experience. This group lives on after the course has finished so you'll have your own gang of warriors there to support you through Christmas, into the New Year and beyond. Here's what previous attendees had to say about this support course:
"I find it so incredibly hard to admit that I need help/can’t do it on my own and you, Bex & Laura, have given such validation to my feelings (which I 100% never got from 99% of the health care professionals I came into contact with) and permission for me and others to feel like it’s ok to say ‘I’m not ok and I need some help"
"The daily emails are such a reminder that we’re not on our own and I find it so useful to have a daily task to focus my mind on a way that might reframe things or help me manage some for the day to day challenges, so a massive thankyou and a massive thumbs up for the course and this amazing support group xxx Katrina "
"I was grieving the person I previously was. Then along came you saints with this course; it felt like a sign from the universe saying to me - mate, you're going to need this, sign up. I can honestly say it's the best money I've ever spent on myself."
"I signed up to this course feeling very lost and alone. Logging on to the first session and seeing all those people in the same boat as me, I suddenly wasn’t alone. I am so grateful to have found the course and met some wonderful women who I hope to remain in touch with. Thank you to you both and TWGGE for being a light in my storm. Love Alex xxx "
"I have never felt more connected on a deeper level emotionally, more understood, validated, and respected than with this amazing group of women who sadly like myself have been through the shittest time with fertility/baby loss. The support has been incredible, from the weekly zooms, being able to rant, cry, share, listen and help others, it's been so meaningful and I have left each zoom feeling heard, validated and less alone."
"I really loved the workshops and the daily emails with humour and empathy getting me through each day. I have loved all the exercises and writing challenges and will take so much forward from this course. What you both have created from a place of heartache and loss yourselves is absolutely incredible and I will be endlessly grateful to you."
Dates: Course begins on: Monday 2nd December 2024
Drop in sessions are:
Monday 2nd December 7pm, Thursday 12th December 7pm, Tuesday 17th December 8pm, Monday 23rd December 8pm
